Stayed here for a little over a month. Great fishing, beautiful lake. The owners are just terrific people. Cabins are clean and cozy. Had a great time and would recommend to anyone
We had the opportunity to take an adventurous spring hike with Klaus and Dianne and what an adventure it was. Klaus forged a new trail up the mount and we emerged on some of the most breathtaking scenery that the North has to offer. We stopped along the way to rest and capture a few photos and paid close attention as Klaus pointed out different markings left from a variety of wildlife. He knew the birds of each call that rang out, as they returned to their summer home. And, through it all, he gave us a detailed history of the area. When we reached the top, our lunch was cooked over an open fire and we relaxed in the sunshine, taking in the unique beauty and, did I mention, the breathtaking views. Lunch was also filled with conversation about the wide variety of fish, fowl and wildlife in the area. Berries that grow wild and plants and trees that have unique healing properties. Our decent was a whole new adventure as we quickly learned that Klaus rarely takes the same way twice. Streams and rock formations, glimpses of wildlife and birds, and new growth sprouting all around. It certainly was a day that we won't forget and we can't thank Klaus and Dianne, enough. If you are looking for an opportunity to channel that inner voyageur, seeking some peace and quiet, or wanting to connect with Mother Nature and all she has to offer, you will find it at Birch Lodge Blind River. We can't wait until our next visit ... a canoe trip on some of the most pristine lakes imaginable. Time to paddle and get a line wet. Till we meet again ...
My family and I love stying here. The grounds are well groomed. The Beach is family friendly. The owners are warm and welcoming. We plan to return..
Cabins were very nice as well as clean. Klaus and Diane were great hosts. Our group particularly enjoyed the ATV trips that Klaus took us on. Excellent scenic ride as well as for those that wanted to play in the mud....got mud!
Great place to stay and ATVing is fasntastic because of the owner and guide klaus. He knows all the trails and he has nice cottages for you to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend giving birch lodge a call for your next getaway winter or summer.
